An update for InterChange Toronto

It has been an exciting fall with many new developments with the Building a Culture of Peace in the GTA programme.  In October we initiated a new and exciting workshop called “Everyone can be a Peacebuilder” this workshop brought together a group of 30 InterChange members and members of the community to creatively explore peacebuilding and peace literacy and discover their unique roles as peacebuilders. We found this workshop to be a good introduction to InterChange and the Culture of Peace.  Participants can use it as a step to participating in other workshops and also to taking peacebuilding back into their own communities. Due to the success of this workshop we are going to be organizing another workshop to be held on Wednesday Jan 25th 2012 at Ellington’s Café on St.Clair west from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Please stay tuned for the poster and registration details.

We are very excited to be delivering workshops in various communities across the GTA including the Rexdale Women’s Centre, with whom we are running workshops in November on Trauma Healing and Health and Happiness, and in December with the City of Toronto’s Community Crisis Response team.

These workshops have been developing organically to meet the desires and needs of communities in Toronto. If you have a group or a community that you would like to organize a workshop with, we would love to hear from you. Download our updated Workshops Flyer to see what we have to offer. We are always open to working in collaboration to tailor-make a workshop. We would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact us at community@interchange4peace.org.
