Today, the 1st of August, marks one year from when Professor Anne Goodman passed on. In Uganda, her death was celebrated in Lutego, Mukono, where trees were planted in her memory on August 3rd, 2013. On November 16th, 2013, two more trees were planted while celebrating an International Day of Tolerance in her memory. Among the trees that were planted, only one failed to grow, while the rest have grown steadily.
